Patrick E. Lawhorn, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at his home in Springfield, Missouri.
Patrick (known to many as Pat), the son of Gerald and Bertha Walton, was born on February 10, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois.
He graduated Burlington High School in 1960. He joined the United States Navy as a Seabee in 1961, where he was a MCB7, better known as an electrician.
On Wednesday June 29, 1966 he married the love of his life, Connie M. Vecere, in New Jersey. They spent 56 memorable years together raising children, traveling and enjoying every moment along the way.
Throughout his life he had many professions, but his favorite was anything to do with his hands. He loved woodworking, flea markets, spending time with family and his many pets.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Pat is survived by his wife Connie M. Lawhorn. 5 children: son David “Frog” M. Lawhorn, daughters Phyllis Knighten (Ron), Shelly Lemar (Robby), Karyn White (Jason) and Tricia Seib (Gary). 13 grandchildren: Christopher, Kierstin (Anthony), Benjamin, Rachel (Sean), Joshua (Nikki), Brittany (Devon), Zachary (Brittany), Elizabeth (Chad), Rebecca (Zachary), Tiffany (Chris), Lance, Conner and 11 beautiful great-grandchildren.
A few special people in Pat s life were 4 bonus children: Charles Swallow, Judi Felt, Sean Broderick and Donald Chenoweth. 2 bonus grandchildren: Amanda Felt (Sam) and Alan Felt.
He adored his dog Jersey and cat Missy.

Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
