Pasquale James (Pat) D’Angelo, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2024. He was 92. Son of the late Liberato and Rose (Tarantino) D’Angelo, Pat was born on November 5, 1931 in Newburgh. He married his high school sweetheart, Katherine Starr, on April 13, 1951, in St. Francis Church, Newburgh.
Pat served in the US Navy, SeaBees MCB4, and went on to a 35-year career at IBM. Upon retiring from IBM he followed another career as a court officer for the Town of Newburgh Courts for 28 years.
Pat was a past chief and a life member of the Good Will Fire Department. He served over 65 years, and the highlight of his service was being honored as the Grand Marshall of the Orange County Volunteer Firefighter Association 2022 Parade at the age of 90.
Pat is survived by his wife, Katherine; children: Wendy Timperio (Martin), Pasquale L. D’Angelo (Joyce) and Joseph J. D’Angelo (Kim); grandchildren: Frank LaRocca (Catie), Katyana Kozachuk (Jordan), Kurtis D’Angelo (Maggie), Wesley D’Angelo and Nicole D’Angelo; great-grandchildren: Ryan and Daniel LaRocca, Adryana Kozachuk and Garbriella Kozachuk. Pat is also survived by sisters, Marie McGowan and Julia Bilello; brother, John D’Angelo and wife Phyllis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Teresa Presutti.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 4-8 pm at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh. Interment will be private.
