Final Salute

Pasquale H. Onofrio, 84, of Hammonton, NJ passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Mr. Onofrio was the building and grounds supervisor for the Hammonton School System for 35 years. He also worked as a carpenter. Pat and his late wife were antique dealers and owned several shops throughout South Jersey. He was a former member of the Hammonton Rotary Club. Mr. Onofrio served in the United States Navy Seabees. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Sandra L. Onofrio. Mr. Onofrio is survived by his children, Sandy Illiano and her husband, Pasquale; Patti Melora and her husband, Anthony all of Hammonton, his son, Pasquale Onofrio of Yardley, PA, 7 grandchildren, Tony, Maria and Michael Illiano, Anthony and Aaron Melora, Christina Scott, Pasquale Nicholas Onofrio, and 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia and Nathan Illiano, and Gemma Melora.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, 11:30 AM in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Anthony’s 285 Route 206, Hammonton, NJ. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held Wednesday, from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ. Memorial Donations may be made to the Pasquale Onofrio Scholarship c/o Hammonton High School 566 Old Forks Road, Hammonton. NJ.
