Malcolm F. Brown Obituary

Malcolm F. Brown, 96, of Sagamore, MA, formerly of Sharon, MA, passed away
peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Sandwich, MA.

He was for more than fifty years the beloved husband of the late Norma Louise (Wilbur) Brown.

Born on October 23, 1923 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Charles F. Brown and the late Florence J. (Towne) Brown. Raised in Sharon, MA, he previously resided in Mansfield.

Malcolm honorably served our country in the United States Navy as a SeaBee during World War II.
He was the proud owner of Brown Diamond Tool Company in Providence, RI for many years before retiring.

Affectionately known as Brownie, Mick, and Uncle Mickey, Malcolm had a long and joyful life: always living in the moment and enjoying life to the fullest as it presented itself. He was a passionate gardener who graciously and generously supplied anyone and everyone with fresh vegetables all summer long. Malcolm enjoyed spending hours at Narragansett Bay where he loved boating and fishing, and always had a special place in his heart for animals of most every kind. More than anything, he deeply cherished his family and truly loved spending time with them.

Malcolm was the loving father of Marjorie J. Pratt of Sandwich, MA; Charles M. Brown and his wife, Valeri, of Sagamore, MA; Christine P. Colassi and her husband, Gary, of Madison, NH; January Kim Gorman of Attleboro, MA; Holly L. Twomey of Warwick, RI; and the late Ann L. Taylor. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of nineteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Malcolm was the brother of the late Robin Wagner, and leaves many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Due to the current coronavirus health crisis, a Celebration of Malcolm’s Life will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Malcolm’s family would like to extend their special thanks to the staff at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for keeping him laughing and comfortable in his final years.
