OGDEN – Lynn D. Osterbur, 75, of Ogden passed away at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday (May 2, 2023) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Lynn was born Jan. 31, 1948, in Urbana, the son of Henry J. and Theresa (Habben) Osterbur. He married Donita Ehmen on Dec. 19, 1970, in Flatville. She survives.
He is also survived by his sons, Chad (Renee) Osterbur of St. Joseph and Christopher (Lisa) Osterbur of Ballwin, Mo.; grandchildren, Kayla, Conner, Mason and Lucas Osterbur; sisters-in-law, Carlotta Ehmen and Lonna Osterbur; and five nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Leon Ehmen.
Lynn worked for Xerox for 32 years and retired in 2005.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Royal, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Seabee in Vietnam.
Lynn loved his family and was so proud of the lives they have created for themselves. He loved his grandkids and was very proud of their accomplishments in school and sports, but more so for just being the great kids that they are. Give Lynn a challenge, and he would take it. He could find a way to fix anything. Last, but definitely not least, he loved his dog, Murphy.
