Final Salute

Luther Franklin Hicks, 97, of Anderson, passed away Friday July 23, 2021 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Mr. Hicks was born May 12, 1924 in Waynesboro, NC. He was a World War II Veteran having served with the US Navy Seabees and was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his son, Max Luther Hicks, and Pam of Anderson; grandchildren: Franklin Hicks of Bethlehem, GA, Michael Hicks of Statham, GA, Katie Chambers of Winder, GA and Heather Bishop of Savannah, GA; five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Edna Fox of Kannapolis, NC.
Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his wife, Azalee Loftis Hicks, and brother, Wayne Hicks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 25 at Sullivan-King Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in New Silver Brook Cemetery.
