Final Salute

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Louis Paul Howe, aged 78, who departed from this world on December 2, 2025.
Born on January 2, 1947, Louis lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication and love for his family.
Louis is survived by his sister BJ Chambers and his loving wife Christine Kenney Howe, who was his partner and confidante through all of life’s challenges. He is remembered with deep affection by his children Lisa Hall (Kevin), Jennifer Roberts, Richard Howe (Nichol), Rochelle Anderson and his 6 grandchildren Addison, Avery, Colin, Ryleigh, Annabelle and Lorelai.
Louis was an avid golfer with a standing weekly tee time at Ocean View Golf Course. Where he proudly made his only hole-in-one on the 4th hole on June 3, 2022. Earlier in life he played softball and coached his son’s teams for NAS Little League. He was a member of the Chesapeake Athletic Club serving as Vice President for the past 4 years. He was on the board for 8 years and was awarded CAC member of the year in 2022. He was also a long-time member of the Ocean View Democratic and Social Club. He was a US Navy Seabee and went to Vietnam in 1969. He retired after 40 years as a Maintenance Supervisor at PWC for the federal government where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and his willingness to lend his plumbing expertise to anyone in need.
A funeral will be held on January 3, 2026, at 3PM in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home located at 8464 Tidewater Dr., Norfolk. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance, sharing stories and laughter, as we pay tribute to a man who touched the lives of so many. A Celebration of Life will be held after the service at the Ocean View Democratic and Social Club. Louis Paul Howe’s legacy of service, kindness and love will never be forgotten. He is deeply missed.
