Final Salute

Louis J. Quick passed away on 5 January, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie NY.

Lou was a General Contractor having learned this trade from his 4 years of Honorable Service with the U.S. Navy Seabees from 1951 to 1955, with tours of duty that included French Morocco, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and Bermuda.

He was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church having served as an altar boy at St. Mary’s as a kid.  Lou married Jeanette (Affuso) on 8 June 1952. He later served on the Parish Council and was also a member of the Marlboro School Board.

Survivors include his son Louis Quick and wife Ellena, Pat Quick and wife Maryanne, Mike Quick and partner Betty Rios, and Susan Lepine and her husband Paul. Grandchildren include Carla, MacKenzie, Rachel, Patrick, Randi, Paul, Callyn, Zachary, Taylor, and Katie. Great grandchildren include Bailey, Colby, Finn, AnnaGrace, Cameron, Anthony, Quinn, Jordan, Aria, Tehillah, Asaph, and Gideon.

Funeral Services take place on Saturday, 17 January at DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 US-9W, Marlboro, NY 12542.

Viewing takes place from 10:30-12:30 followed by a 1pm funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Marlboro.

Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
