Final Salute

CAPE GIRARDEAU — Lloyd Lee Daniels, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his home. He was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Illmo to Loran and Lucille Proffer Daniels.

He and Sally Daniels were married July 5, 2005.

Lloyd served in the Navy Seabees E-3 from 1961-1963.

He worked for Foamex for more than 30 years.

Lloyd’s favorite pastimes were sitting on his front porch watching traffic, waving at people and enjoying when they would stop by for a chat. He also enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles and long drives.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Daniels; son, Gregg (Laura) Daniels; daughter, Robin Daniels Norwood; stepchildren, Kim (Dave) Brazil and Eric Eaker; brother, Bill (Joyce) Daniels; sisters, Louise Riehl and Martha Daniels Crass; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he was extremely proud of.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
