BURLINGTON Leon K. Wallace, 96 of Burlington, formerly of Hamilton Twp., passed away May 24th, 2022 in the Virtua Willingboro Hospital. Born in Hudson, New York, Leon was a US Navy Seabee during World War II serving from 1943 to 1946. He moved to NJ in 1948 and attended Rider College ( now Rider University ) and graduated in 1952. Leon retired from the State of NJ Division of Taxation in 1987 as an Auditor after 33 years of service. Lee was a Mason for 74 years belonging to Mercer Lodge #50 in Trenton, NJ. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Coramae Rifenburg Wallace, his wife of 50 years Grace White Wallace who died in 2006, Mr. Wallace is survived by his children, Douglas and wife Maryann Wallace of Drums, PA, Veronica Wallace-Mele and husband Scott of Langhorne, PA, his grandchildren, Kathryn Murphy and husband Matthew of Mountain Top, PA, Gregory Wallace of Brooklyn, NY, Joanna Wallace of Drums, PA, Elizabeth Mele of Langhorne, PA, and great-grand-daughter Cecilia Murphy. Also surviving are nieces Dorothy Matties of Balston Spa, NY, Terrie Harpis of Hudson , NY, and nephew Elmore Wallace and wife Ruth of Montesano, WA, and nephews Timothy and Mark Wallace of Hudson, NY. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 9 am to 11 am at the Hartmann Memorial Home, 2830 Nottingham Way, Mercerville NJ 08619. Masonic Funeral Ritual Services will be at 10am and Funeral Services at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
