Larry Seery, 82, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away June 8, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
Born July 9, 1942, in Waterloo to Ronald and Lavena Seery, Larry graduated from Columbus Catholic High School and proudly served in Vietnam as a Navy Seabee. He married Nancy Burk on July 1, 1972, and retired from John Deere in 2001.
Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Brian (Jenny) Seery of Cedar Falls, and Stephanie (Donovan) Sharp of Fertile, Iowa; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Mary Spooner, Ileen Dunn, Patricia Youngblut, and Karen Mills.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 19, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Hagarty Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Home on West Ridgeway, with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m., and Vigil Service at 7 p.m. An additional visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Cedar Falls, at 9 a.m., Friday, June 20, followed by the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo, with luncheon following at the church.
