Mr. Larry Eugene Jennings

Mr. Larry Eugene Jennings, born September 17th, 1944, in Austell, Ga, passed away on February 27th, 2026 at his home following an extended illness at the age of 81.

Larry served in the United States Navy for two tours in Vietnam as a USN SEABEE. Further, he worked as a Systems Communication Technician for Southern Bell/AT&T, but most importantly, he served faithfully as an ordained deacon serving the Lord, and the congregation at Nimbelwill Baptist Church in Lumpkin County as he made his home in North Georgia. Lastly, he enjoyed spending many hours tinkering with antique cars.

Mr. Jennings is preceded in death by his late father George C. Jennings and mother Bonnie F. Gaydon Jennings from Powder Springs, Ga, Henry Neese (son-in-law), Brenda Underwood and Alta Jennings (sisters), Robert & Richard Jennings (brothers).

Surviving Larry are his wife of 61 years, Frances Waters Jennings, two daughters and sons-in-laws, Lorraine Jennings Morris (Daniel) & Susan Jennings Neese and the late Henry Neese, three grandsons, Steven Morris (Sarah), Luke Neese (Hannah), Levi Neese, granddaughter, Cada Morris, great-granddaughter, Mallory Morris, several nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends and family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 4th from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Cantrell, Speaker Luke Neese, and Rev. Michael Smith officiating.

Interment will be held at a later date in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with George Jennings, Scott Jennings, Ricky Jennings, Steven Morris, Luke Neese, and Levi Neese serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Cada Morris and Mallory Morris.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3rd from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at Logan Funeral Home.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the North Georgia Honor Guard in memory of Mr. Jennings.
