Kenneth “Ken” Lee Keslink Obituary

Kenneth Lee Keslink, 83, of Florida, formerly of Bayville, died on January 14, 2019 in Homosassa Florida.

Born in Chicago, he lived in Bayville 40 years and the past 15 years in Homosassa.
Ken, also known as “Ken-Do” and “Oz”, was a graduate of Bloomfield High School, class of 1954.

He became a Seabee with the US Navy and ultimately retired as a chief builder with the US Navy Reserves.

Thanks to a wide array of interest, an innate understanding of all things mechanical, and an entrepreneurial spirit, Ken also owned and operated several successful small businesses over the years. In 1979, he embarked on a new venture that proved to be many years ahead of its time; Kenneth L. Keslink Wind Energy Contractors. He and his sons installed 20 electricity-generating windmills in the tri-state area and even received mail from Germany that was addressed to: “Mr. Windmill, New Jersey”. Ken also owned a family-run construction business in Ocean County and an RV repair business and was licensed to deal firearms. He was truly a man who could do it all.

Ken loved motorcycles, guns, history, the Florida Keys and warm weather. He was a devoted husband, still flirting with Rosie after 6 decades together, a loving father, extraordinary grandfather and a first-rate friend. He was a man of few words, but those words almost always made those around him laugh. He will be missed and, undoubtedly remembered with smiles.

Surviving are; his wife of 63 years Rosemarie Lucille “Grasso” Keslink; three children, Kenneth J. Keslink and his wife Karen, Kevin Lee Keslink and Kelly Lucille Butler and her husband David; three grandchildren, Casey Butler Harwood, Taylor David Butler and Jana Lee Keslink; a great granddaughter Lucille Ann Harwood and his sister Helen Patricia Hawkins.

Ken was predeceased by his parents Sally Alda Karr and Joseph Percy Kesling, a brother Ronald A. Kesling and a sister Carol Kesling Murray.

A Life Celebration for Ken will be offered in New Jersey in the spring. Mastapeter Funeral Home in Bayville oversees arrangements.
