Joseph “Joe” Gallegos, born in Denver, CO to mother, Agnes Jaramillo and father, Theodore Gallegos. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Shirley Gallegos, children Corey Gallegos, Josette Martinez, Amy Weist and Scott Carlson. Also survived by sister, Isabell Dellgado and his cherished grandchildren, Ayden, Estrella and Leilah. Joe passed away at his home in Pueblo West.

As a young boy Joe was a paperboy and shoe salesman then proudly served his country during the Vietnam War Era as a US Navy Seabee. After his honorable service, Joe was a patron drywall finisher, handyman and a jack of all trades. Joe began his career working for The Rocky Mountain News, where he worked for 20+years as a Maintenance Mechanic until he retired. Joe was a lifelong fan of Classic Cars and was an active member of the Mile Hi Cruisers Club. He was very proud of his many cars over the years including his 1936 Chevy. Joe was always there to answer the phone for any question you had and wouldn’t ever forget a name or a face, Joe never met a stranger and every goodbye was followed by “Love You, God Bless.” He will dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Joe will be Monday, December 12, 2022, Visitation 10:30 AM at Romero Funeral Home, 1805 S. Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80232, 12 PM memorial service to follow. 3 PM celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 501, 4747 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204. Following the memorial service Joe will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
