Final Salute

John Stanley Carico II, 66, died at 10:02 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2024 at his home in Brighton. Born June 22, 1958 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of John Stanley I and Pearl Franklin (Hoke) Carico. John served as a Navy Seabee from 1975-1979 and retired as a truck driver. On August 31, 2021 he married the former Pamela Laubscher in Alton. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Dusty Carico, Crystal Carico (Bryan Jeffers), Erin Carico, John Stanley “Rudy” Carico, and Evan Carico, six grandchildren, Shane, Cayden, Iziah, Thomas, Olivia and Zora, and a great grandchild, Asher. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Carico. No services are scheduled at this time. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
