Final Salute

Jimmie Lee Dawson, 93, of Pinson, Alabama passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. A proud United States Navy veteran, he served honorably as a Navy Seabee from 1952-1954. He attended Huffman Baptist Church for more than 50 years, during which time he actively served as a Bible study leader. With a calm presence, he led by example and is known for his love for his family, God, country, and BAMA football.

A beloved husband and father he is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary Davidson-Dawson. He is survived by his children Cathy Card, husband Mike, Patti Bragg, husband Bob, stepchildren Brian Davidson, wife Jan, Pam Davidson, Blake Davidson, wife Michelle, Brent Davidson, Jennifer Stalnaker, husband Scott, and Jason Davidson, as well as 35 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Gwen Dawson, his daughter Deborah Marie Dawson. Services will be held Thursday, April 10 at Rideout’s in Trussville, Alabama; with visitation at 1:00 and services at 2:00 p.m.
