Jimmie Duane Jacobsen, age 81, of Lake City, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. He was born on November 8, 1944, in Orlando, Florida, to the late Alford Jacobsen and Wilmet Peters Jacobsen. Jimmie attended Boone High School and proudly served his country as a Seabee in the United States Navy. He carried that same dedication and hardworking spirit throughout his life. Jimmie had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed boating and spending time on the water. He was also a passionate Ham Radio operator whose call sign was W4MOR, and he took great pride in connecting with fellow operators across the airwaves. Jimmie was also known among family and friends for making a good barbecue, often bringing people together to share food, laughter, and fellowship. On July 17, 1971, Jimmie married the love of his life, Diane. Together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage and built a life centered around love, faith, and family. They were blessed with eight boys, and Jimmie took great pride in being a father. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. Jimmie will be remembered for his strong spirit, his love for his family, and the many memories he created with those who knew him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and wisdom, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford Jacobsen and Wilmet Peters Jacobsen, and three sons, John, Thomas, and Matthew Cody.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane Jacobsen of Lake City, Florida; sons, James, Christopher, Daniel, David, and Robert; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored; along with several extended family members and dear friends.
