Mr. Jim McIntyre

Date of passing 05/01/2024

Jim was in the Navy and served his country as a Seabee. He was a licensed plumber and self-employed most of his life doing various forms of construction. Jim loved learning, nature, traveling the country and working with his hands. Watching an idea take shape, evolve and come to fruition was more than rewarding in his eyes. He loved sharing his knowledge of the world with others and passing on family heritage and traditions to the younger generations. Jim never met a stranger and was happiest when he could put a smile on the face of a child or someone young at heart. His life-long motto is the embodiment of his true self and explains how he looked upon the world….

Give All, Take Nothing, Have Everything.

Jim is survived by his son, Jim (Jimbo) Frank McIntyre II, and wife, Christy; daughter, Eva McIntyre Suggs; grandchildren, Jay McIntyre (Tiffany), Meredith McIntyre Webb (Ryan), Luke McIntyre, Lyndsey McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Addison, Silas, Kade, Roam, Kayden and Kamden, all of Troy. In addition, he is survived by three siblings, John McIntyre of Troy, Judy McIntyre Holder (Mark) of Ruckersville, Virginia and Jan McIntyre Underwood Dills (Ron) of Asheboro; and more nieces, nephews and cousins than one can count. Jim loved his family so much and loved seeing them all together. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Butch McIntyre, granddaughter Ashley Suggs Reza, great-grandson Weslie Monroe Reza and son-in-law Leslie Suggs, all of Troy. The family will have a Celebration of Life to honor Jim on December 4, 2022, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Jim’s home located at 174 Jay Lane, Troy. We welcome everyone to come out, bring food, relive fond memories, share stories and celebrate Jim’s homecoming.
