Final Salute

James Ward, 93, passed away on May 23, 2021 in Rogers. He was born on May 17, 1928 in Fayetteville, Ark., to the late Newton Jr. Ward and Mattie L. (Jackson) Ward. He was the loving husband of 71 years to Mildred (Williams) Ward. James was a Naval WWII veteran. While in the service he was a SeaBee and traveled all over.
He enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife. He owned Beaver Lake Speedway and James Diesel Service for many years.
James was preceded in death by his son, Mike Ward in 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of Garfield; son, Rickey, of Garfield; grandsons, Brian, Roth, and Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 10-11 a.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with a graveside service to follow at 12 p.m. in Phillips Cemetery in Cave Springs. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.
