Jack Stewart Foley, a dedicated family man, devoted animal rescuer, and accomplished professional, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and remarkable achievements.
Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on February 16, 1945, Jack was a beacon of compassion and dedication throughout his life. Jack’s commitment to service began during his tenure in the United States Navy, where he bravely served his country during the Vietnam War and was a Navy Seabee. His sense of duty and honor extended beyond his military service, evident in his passion for rescuing animals. Over the years, Jack’s kind heart led him to save the lives of over 35 animals, demonstrating his unwavering empathy and care for all creatures.
Jack grew up in Fairfield, IL before coming to college at Murray State University. He became a charter member of Alpha Gamma Rho and later graduated from Murray State with a bachelor’s degree. Jack and Linda met following his college graduation as neighbors, during his first career as a teacher in Henderson. He went on to pursue a career in sales for Trucks Trailers and Buses in Murray. His dedication and hard work culminated in numerous sales awards, earning him the reputation of a top producer consistently. His career was a testament to his perseverance and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Jack Foley will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, a patriotic veteran, a compassionate animal rescuer, a dedicated educator, and a highly accomplished professional. His legacy of kindness, love, and determination will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Patricia Foley.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his wife, Mrs. Linda Foley of Murray; a son, Andy Foley and wife, Chanda of Murray and three beloved grandchildren, Addison, Drew and Watson.
The funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Jack Foley is set for 1 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home. John Dale will officiate and entombment will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. His family welcomes visitors from 10 am – 1 pm at the Heritage Chapel.
