Final Salute

Howard “Huckie” Gene Petri, 71, of Baldwin, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at his home.

He was born August 25, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Howard “Huck” and Sarah “Sally” (Grandell) Petri. A loving husband, for 40 plus years, to Michele (Caponi) Petri. A proud father of Jesse (Brie Ann) Petri Sr. A beloved brother of Mark (Lori) Petri. An unforgettable grandfather to Jesse Jr., Carter, Leighton, and Whit Lee. Huck is survived by a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Huck graduated from Baldwin High School in 1973. He served his country for 4 years in the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy, he traveled the world as a highly skilled U.S. Navy Seabee (Construction Battalions – “CB”). He was a highly skilled mechanic with a passion for cars. His skill and passion will be remembered by lots of devoted customers.

Huckie will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unconditional love he showed to those closest to him. Above all else, family was everything to him. His presence made people feel safe, supported, and valued. He will be remembered for the love of his son and grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. Funeral Services will be held privately.
