Harvey John Klever was born on August 3, 1946 to Harry and Hulda (Zarn) Klever in Wadena, Minnesota. He attended Henning High School, graduating with the class of 1964. From October 18, 1965, to September 12, 1969, Harvey honorably served in the United States Navy. He operated heavy equipment for the United States Naval Construction Battalions, better known as the Navy Seabees.

On November 1, 1969, Harvey was united in marriage to Kathleen Faye Minderman at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, Minnesota. Together they made their home on the family farm in Henning Township where they raised their children and farmed for 50 years.

Harvey enjoyed hunting, and fishing – especially winter spear fishing. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Henning, where he was a Sunday School superintendent and teacher, trustee, Elder and ACT leader. Harvey was also a member of the Henning VFW before it closed, and a member of the Deer Creek American Legion #283.

Harvey passed away on December 26, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota at 76 years of age. Preceding Harvey in death are his parents; siblings: Marvin (Valerie) Klever; and Gladys Bennett; brother-in-law: Norman Wassink; and sister-in-law: Victoria Klever.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen; daughter: Rachel Klever; and son: Adam Klever; grandchildren: Makyla (Alex) Jackson; Amari Klever; sister: Alice Wassink; brothers: Marlowe (Charlyne); Maynard Klever; and Harry Lee (Linda) Klever; brother-in-law: Donald Bennett; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
