Harold E. “Harvey” Koberlein, 78, of Telford, PA, passed away suddenly on September 2, 2021, after a day spent doing what he loved most, checking in on his family.

He was the loving husband of Dorothy Bernadette “Bernie” (Anthony) Koberlein, who passed away December 29, 2011.

Born in Callicoon, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur R. and Beatrice Ethelma (Slater) Koberlein. He was a 1961 graduate of Narrowsburg High School, Narrowsburg, NY. He went on to earn a degree as a Heavy Equipment Technician from the Williamsport Technical Institute, Williamsport, PA.

Harvey was employed as a Service Manager for Plasterer Equipment, Telford, PA for 12 years until retiring in 2009. Prior to that, he worked at Ingersoll-Rand Company, Montgomeryville, PA for 25+ years.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the Naval Seabees in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968.

Harvey volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and was quick to assist family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed traveling the country in his RV, attending blue-grass festivals, and spending time with family. He was a country and blue-grass music enthusiast, with Johnny Cash being one of his favorite performers. Harvey sought to bring harmony in all interactions he encountered with family, friends and even strangers. He will be greatly missed by ALL whose lives were touched by this one-of-a-kind man.

He is survived by six children, Keith Cliver and his wife Carol, of Hatfield, PA, Geri Cliver Paine and her husband Thomas, of Perkasie, PA, Dennis Cliver and his wife Carmen, of Mohnton, PA, Beth Cliver Snyder and her husband Maury, of Hatfield, PA, Denise Koberlein-Mellon, of Macungie, PA and Michelle Urffer and her husband Russ, of Telford, PA; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; his partner, Marylou Reinhardt, of Hillsborough, NJ; two brothers, Arthur Koberlein, Jr and his wife Bonnie, of Beach Lake, PA and David Koberlein and his wife Patricia, of Orlando, FL and a sister, Peggy Cowger, of Lake Ariel, PA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Miller who was married to Doug Miller, of Beach Lake, PA.

All family and friends are welcome to share in a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM or on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Franconia Heritage Banquet Hall, Telford. A memorial service, to honor Harvey, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Franconia Heritage Banquet Hall, 508 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969. Immediately following the service on Monday, the family welcomes you to join them for a luncheon.

Harvey was very passionate about given back to the Veterans. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a military service of your choice, in his honor.
