Harold E. Partch, age 98, of Harborcreek, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at Sarah Reed Senior Living Center.
He was born in Erie on April 29, 1923, son of the late L.D. and Florence Hague Partch.
Harold was born and raised in Lawrence Park. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving with the Seabees during WWII. He was based at Midway in 1943 and Iwo Jima in 1945 with the 133rd NCB Naval Construction Battalion. Harold then attended the GE Apprentice Program and was employed at General Electric for over 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571.
Harold was an avid golfer and enjoyed carpentry, building two of his homes. He was very dedicated to his faith and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Harold loved baseball and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Harold is survived by one son, Larry Partch, Ret. Sgt. First Class with the U.S. Army; daughter, Jill Wells (Casey); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He also had many friends at the Heritage Apts. who were a dear blessing to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Partch; and one brother, Laurence Partch.
Friends may call at the Faith Lutheran Church, 5414 East Lake Road, on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Jean Kuebler. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by American Legion Carl Neff Post 571.
Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
