Date of passing 11/17/2025

Gerald G. Keefer, 94, of Palmyra passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, at Londonderry Village, with members of his family by his side.
Born June 19, 1931, in Palmyra, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Edna (Nye) Keefer. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 68 years, Marion R. Keefer. Gerald was also preceded in death by granddaughter Clara Marion Keefer, along with his siblings Sherwood, Ruth, Robert, and Kenneth.
Gerald was a member of Hershey Free Church. He was gifted in many areas of construction and put those skills to good use from a young age until well into his eighties. He ran a small construction company in Palmyra that had a well-deserved reputation for quality and honesty. In retirement he continued to utilize his God given skills, doing numerous construction projects for churches, friends and family members. He was raised to work hard and did so throughout his life.
His biggest enjoyment by far was spending time with his wife and his family. He was an accomplished athlete at Palmyra, playing football, basketball, and baseball. He enlisted in the Navy and served for three years, as a part of the SeaBees (Construction Battalion). He also enjoyed the game of golf, playing from a young age until his nineties.
Surviving are his children Steven Keefer (Mary), Pamela Hoyt (Brian), Andrew Keefer (Kathleen) and Thomas Keefer (Patricia); twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
The children would like to thank the staff at Londonderry Village for the loving care provided to our father over the past 20 months. To Traci, Megan, Abby, Molly, Brandon, Kelly, Cameron, Talia, and Faith, we will forever be thankful for your kindness and caring hearts.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Londonderry Village’s DiMatteo Worship Center, 1200 Grubb Road, Palmyra, preceded by a visitation beginning at 2:00 PM.
