Gerald “Cris” Criscola Obituary

A memorial service will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton MS, on July 10th@ 11.30 Am
Everyone is required to wear a mask and gather in small groups.

Mr. Criscola, 79, of Lauderdale passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Cris retired after 22 years in the U.S. Navy was where he served as a CMAA, Safety Chief, Charley Co. Chief, CPO C in the U.S. Navy Seabees.

After his military career he worked with the Southern Railroad for over nine years. He also worked OSHA Safety Manager on the Navy base as a civil service worker for 16 years. Mr. Criscola was also a Mason, Disabled Veterans Member, Fleet Reserve, and the local VFW.

Mr. Criscola is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sonia Criscola; children, Keith Criscola (Christina), and Lynne Garrison (John); grandchildren, Joseph Keith Criscola, Thomas Wyatt Criscola, Jay Garrison, Austin Garrison, and Savannah Garrison, as well as one great-granddaughter, Analeigh Criscolo. Siblings, Angela Criscola, and Danny Criscola, as well a numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mr. Cris is preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Caroline Criscola; two brothers, Gene Criscola and Michael Criscola.

The family suggest that memorials be made as donations to The American Lung Association in lieu of flowers.

A Private Interment will be held at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
