George E Martino died September 30, at the age of 94. He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Patricia (Euler) Martino, his loving brother, John Martino and late wife Janet, nephew, Jay Martino, and children, Jenna, Joe, Jaclyn and John, niece Jill and Robert Bertera and their children Holly and Jared Katt, Lindsey and Derrick Rice, Janell and Michael Picciolo. He loved seeing pictures of the next generation of 6 great grand nieces and nephews.
George served as a Navy Seabee on the island of Guam during the Korean War. He was a world traveler, and an avid skier. He could light up a room when entering with his hearty “Buongiorno.” George had life long friends from childhood, Navy buddies, ComEd co-workers, Miseriacordia lunch group, Wild-West Cowboys, and skiing friends from both the Nomads and Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council.

Visitation at 9:00 a.m. will precede 10:00 Mass at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 9711 W Devon Ave, Rosemont IL on Friday October 20. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery, at Belmont and N. Cumberland, River Grove, IL.
