Gary O Hathaway, seventy six RI, passed into eternal rest while at Hope Hospice Hulitar Center in Providence on September 26, 2025.
He is the son of the late Ruth (Hillier) and Otis Hathaway. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl of 33 years, 2 stepchildren Denise Whitney and Heather Frazer, 3 sisters Joan Lewondoski and Darlene Colasante of Spring Hill Fl and Lynn Samos and her husband Peter of Coventry. Also 2 late siblings, Joyce Bowen and Wayne Hathaway. He has 4 children, Linda Silveria of Coventry, Gary Jr. of Warwick, the late Heather Hathaway and Ryan Hathaway of Brook, NY.He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildre.
Served in the US Navy Seabees 2 years, 9/81 to 83. He worked for Prov. Tag and Labels Annex and Storm Duds as a Screen Printer both located in Attleboro, MA. He then opened his business called Panorama Painting until retiring.
He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, playing cards, watching the Patriots games and old western movies. He also liked Bingo and the Casino. His loved his little Jack Russell Terrier “Stevie”.
He was a former member of the Attleboro Moose Lodge Post 463 (463) and the American Legion Post 312 in Attleboro. He was an active member of Pace Organization in Woonsocket, RI.
A Celabration of Life/Memorial Service will be held on Satrurday, October 11th in the Comunity Room at Lincoln Manor, 10 Franklin St. Lincoln. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Door opens at 4:30pm. Service begins at 5:00pm officiated by Elder Paul Britto. Immediatly followed by a buffet dinner. In lieu of flowers a donation will be greatly appreciated to Landmark Hospital Cancer Center.
