Final Salute

Gary Michael Fry, 77, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on November 21, 2023. Gary was born on October 16, 1946 to John W. Fry and Eileen Bott in Brooklyn, NY. He later moved to Virginia Beach, VA by way of the military, where he met the love of his life and soon-to-be-wife, Judith G. Fry. He graduated from Princess Anne High School and then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy, serving two tours in Vietnam with the Seabees Battalion. He later worked for the U.S. Post Office, becoming a Postmaster in Franklin, VA. After retiring from the Post Office in 2006, he became a bus driver for Virginia Beach City Public Schools, a job he loved dearly. Gary is predeceased by his mother and father, John and Eileen, and his sister Martha. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Judith G. Fry, his children Gary Michael Fry Jr., Marcus J. Fry (Kimberly J. Fry), Leigh Anne Dennis (Johnny Dennis), Tara Lincoln (Wayne Lincoln), grandchildren Andrew Hoffman, Anthony Fry, Leah Fry, Jessica Fry, Brycen Lincoln, Owen Lincoln, siblings Danny Fry, John Fry (Kyla Fry), Laurel Lackey, Jerry Fry, Janine Ruberti (Jassen Ruberti), and many other extended family members.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00PM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel by Reverend Chuck Collins.
