Final Salute

Garry Lee Weatherly, 75, of Beebe, Arkansas passed away March 5, 2023. He was born November 2, 1947 to Willis Eugene and Florence Houston Weatherly in Paragould, Arkansas.

Garry was a Navy Veteran (Seabees) and worked for thirty plus years at Union Pacific Railroad. He loved working on old cars and was a “backyard” mechanic, a member of Boiler Makers and the VFW.

Garry is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sylvia Ann Chance Weatherly; daughter, Sonya Spinks (Andrew) of Beebe, Autumn Rosas (Alex) of Beebe, Andrew Spinks, Jr. (Izy) of Searcy; and sister, Carol Robbins of Sherwood.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Weatherly.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday evening, March 9th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10th at 2:00 p.m. also at Smith Westbrook Chapel with entombment to follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made in Garry’s name to the Beebe Humane Society, 707 US-64, Beebe, Arkansas, 72012.
