Final Salute

Last, Fred C. Age 97, passed from this life on September 22, 2024. He was born on August 9, 1927 in Springfield, Illinois to the parents of Fred & Eva (Wright) Last.
Fred was a Seabee in the U.S, Navy during WWII. After the Navy he met his beautiful wife Phyllis and they began their married life in Bloomington, MN.
Fred worked at Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company for over 30 years as the Manager of Building Services. He loved everything about his job. After his retirement they moved to Farmington, MN.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Phyllis (Elstad), brother Doug Last and sisters Betty, Marilyn and Kathy and his beloved dog Shotzie.
He will be missed by his son, Michael and daughter in law Jan, daughter Mary and son in law Tim. Grandchildren Jennifer (Devin), Kristin (Kyle), Jon (Tonya) and Michael (Courtney). He will be missed by his brother Kenny (Kate) and his sister in law Kathy Last. As well as his 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Trinity Assisted Living (Terrace) and Grace Hospice for their unbelievable loving care and kindness they showed to Fred.
Service 11AM Friday, September 27, 2024 at Highview Christiania Church, Farmington, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.Interment, Church Cemetery.
