GUIDERLAND – Edward (Ned) Weston, 76, passed at home, on May 24, 2025, surrounded by his family, after a ten year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Albany to the late Edward Sr. and Elaine Weston.
Ed proudly served in the Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War. He was a volunteer firefighter for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his son Christopher; sisters, Nancy and Wendy; and brother, Paul.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; daughter, Melissa (Scott) Leininger; son, Michael (Emily); granddaughter, Grace Leininger; and grandson, Charlie Weston.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a service starting at 6 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
A Burial with Military Honors will follow on Monday, June 2, at 12 p.m., at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
