Earl P. “Dick” Driskell
July 16, 1931 – August 20, 2021
Cayce, South Carolina – A Celebration of Life for Earl P. “Dick” Driskell, 90, of Cayce, will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Broadacres Baptist Church, 2350 Taylor Road, Cayce, SC. The family will hold a visitation after the service at the church.
Mr. Driskell passed to his heavenly home on Friday, August 20, 2021. He was born on July 16, 1931 in Atlanta, GA to the late Rev. Earl Palmer and Myrtle Shelley Driskell. He retired from Allied Systems in 1999. Mr. Driskell was a Seabee in the US Navy during the Korean War (1951-1954). He was a devoted member of Broadacres Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, both in his church and community. He loved people and never met a stranger.
Dick was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; son, Joseph (Buddy); stepchildren, Kimberly Moore and Jennifer Russell (Brady); three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mack (Ernestine) and Paul; and a sister, Nancy Kane. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Beverly Draper Driskell; daughters, Nancy Jean Driskell and Claudia Driskell; a brother, Joseph Driskell; two sisters, Mary Futral and Vivian Walker; two brothers-in-law, John Kane and H.A. Walker; and a sister-in-law, Travis Driskell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadacres Baptist Church, 2350 Taylor Road, Cayce, SC.
