Final Salute

Dwaine C. Heath, age 90, of Hillsdale, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Hillsdale Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1934, in Flint, to Dale and Fairy (Lampson) Heath.

Dwaine served his country in the United States Navy for twelve years, six of which were with the Seabees. Upon his return he worked as a service manager for appliances for several stores. He was an avid car guy and had quite a collection of vintage cars. Dwaine loved to be outdoors and would often go on nature hikes at Hidden Lake Gardens. He was a member of the Hillsdale American Legion and the Bi Centennial Car Club.

Dwaine is survived by four children; Tim (Kim) Heath, Lorraine Heath, Garrett Heath, and Diana (Terry) McCosh; one granddaughter, Jessica; one great-grandson, Brayden; and one special cousin, Linda Calbetzer.

He was preceded by his parents, and several siblings.

A graveside service for Dwaine Heath will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
