Mr. Donald Earl Black

Date of passing 02/05/2025

Donald Earl Black, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Feb. 5, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born and raised in Michigan, Donald later moved to Avon Park, Florida, in 1985, where he enjoyed a life filled with love, passion, and creativity. A proud veteran, he honorably served as a Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War, demonstrating bravery and dedication throughout his life.
Donald had a deep love for cars, a fondness for Betty Boop, and a talent for airbrushing. One of his greatest joys was using his artistic skills to paint clowns for charity events and circus performances, bringing smiles to those around him. But above all, his greatest love was his family.

He shared 41 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Janice Black. He is survived by his six children, Cathy, Jodie, Gwen, Becky, Cassandra, and Richard, along with 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
His legacy of kindness, strength, fun-loving spirit, and amusing characteristics will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring, Florida on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at 2 p.m. The family invites friends to the visitation prior to the service starting at 1 p.m.
Though he is no longer with us, his love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will remain in our hearts forever. “Boop Oop A Doop.”
