Donald E. “Woody” Woodward, 89, died Sept. 15, 2019 at Pickaway Manor.
He was born June 3, 1930, to the late Paul and Dorothea Thomas Woodward.
He was also predeceased by daughter, Jennifer Moss; and sister, Mary Ann Neff.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, JoAnn Rader Woodward; sons, Michael (Darlene) Woodward and Christopher (Rojanne) Woodward; daughter, Debra Williams (Wayne Winner); son-in-law, Larry Moss; nephew, Timothy (Edie) Strawser; and niece, Annette Strawser; grandchildren, Renee Moss, Stephanie (Trevor) Winland, Stephen (Ashley Zeigler) Woodward, Erin (Turhan) Jackson, Ryan Williams, Kati Woodward; and great-grandchildren, Dean and Sam Winland and Maya Jackson.
Don was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on Guam as a member of the SeaBees, the Navy Construction Battalion. He retired from DuPont after 32 years and was proud to be an auxiliary deputy for the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office for 30 years.
The family would like to thank caregivers, Cathy Leffel, Jane Diehl, Brenda Weatherhead and staff at Pickaway Manor for the care of Don through his illness.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
