Final Salute

Dennis Vernon Wild, 74, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at E.W. Thompson Health and Rehab Center in Sedalia, MO.

The family will hold a memorial graveside services with military rites at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO, with Jason Wild officiating. Born May 22, 1950, in St. Joseph, MO, he was the son of the late Albert Wild and Louella May Lytton Wild. He was proud to be a U.S. Navy and Seabee veteran. In 1981, he married Debbie Denis and she preceded him in death on January 17, 2017. On February 22, 2018, he married Linda Lee Starks who survives of the home. Dennis was an over-the-road truck driver for most of his working life. He loved to hunt and fish, loved slot car racing, was an avid Chiefs fan and loved watching western movies.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; three sons, Jason Allen Wild (Joann) of Marshall, Joseph Wild of Mississippi and Preston Elliott Wild (Julie) of Wentzville, MO; five grandchildren, Justin Wild, Jarod Wild, Hannah Wild, Olivia Wild and Mason Wild; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Joanie, Mike and Delores; and several nieces and nephews.
