Clyde M. Stewart Jr.,72, of Latrobe, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at his home. Born August 4, 1952 in Marguerite, he was a son of the late Clyde M. Stewart Sr. and Doris Jean (Wallace) Stewart. Prior to his retirement, he was the co-owner and operator of S & C Construction. He enjoyed woodworking not only by profession, but as a lifelong hobby, too. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served with the Seabees during the Vietnam Era. Clyde was a former softball player with the Valley League and was a former member of the Marguerite Volunteer Fire Department. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas J. Stewart; and three brothers, Dale K., Robert C., and David A. Stewart. Clyde is survived by his wife, Marcia J. (Hoffman) Stewart, of Latrobe, or as they would say, ‘their other half that made one.’ He is also survived by four daughters, Melanie Campbell (Michael) of Brunswick, GA, Rhonda Shepler (Andrea Palmer) of Latrobe, Mickie Shepler (John Sessi) of Latrobe, and Summer Hitchman (Jeff) of Saltsburg; one son, Dennis Cutlip (Sarah) of Clayton, NC; three brothers, Richard L. Stewart (Debbie), Daniel E. Stewart, and Randall W. Stewart (Rhonda); two sisters, Gloria Marks and Judy Potts (Bill); 14 grandchildren, Ethan Howell, Lindsey Howell, Kelsey Holt (Dan), Shane Clark, Hayden Hitchman (Jessie Konkel), Aubrey Hitchman, Chance Cutlip, Bailey Cutlip, Andrew Ong (Misty), Alyssia Ong, Brittany Palmer-Shepler, Kaylee Ridilla, Kaleb Ridilla, and Amanda Ackerman; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Maddie, and Stone; and numerous nieces and nephews. At his request, there will be no public visitations or services. Interment is private.
