Clayton C. Coulson, 99 died May 20, 2026 in Clay Center, KS. He was born on April 8, 1927 in Clay County, the son of Vernon and Edna (Gfeller) Coulson. After graduating high school, he served as a Seabee in the US Navy during WWII. Clayton married Marjorie Reilly on April 8, 1951. He worked as a mechanic for KDOT for over 38 years, retiring in 1988. Clayton enjoyed farming with his father, his son, and his grandsons. He enjoyed meeting people and visiting with them. Clayton had many hobbies through the years including water skiing, riding motorcycles, working on antique gas engines, and tinkering in his shop. He helped work on the Central Branch Railroad cars in Waterville. In later years, he enjoyed watching “How to” videos on YouTube. Clayton was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge and American Legion, all of Clay Center. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeff Coulson.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 26, from 9AM until service time at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
