NEW HARTFORD – Charles Rindflesh passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023 with his family by his side. He was the loving husband and best friend of the late Joan Rindflesh for 61 wonderful years before she passed away in 2022. Born November 6, 1938 in Bristol he was the son of the late Harold and Lillian (Hultman) Rindflesh
Krappatsch.
Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he is deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Lori and Anthony Scaramuzza of Barkhamsted, Timothy Rindflesh of Terryville, and Michael and Jennifer Rindflesh of New Hartford, who were always nearby. He leaves grandchildren Alyssa, T.J., Jason, Chad, Maia, Evan and
great-grandchildren Shea, Ruby, Ella, Jaxx, Nora, Emma, and Lillian. Chuck also leaves behind his sister Mavis Suchinski of Bristol. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Sherry Rindflesh.
Chuck served proudly in the U.S. Navy with the Seabees. He was a self-employed Master Carpenter for most of his life; he repaired and built homes for many people. In his last career he worked at Countryside Manor in Bristol until his retirement at age 72. Chuck was very close to his family and was always present in everyone’s lives. He was curious and constantly learning, always supportive and encouraging, made a point to have a kind word for anyone he encountered, always looked at the best of every situation, and was the epitome of being patient and calm.
Chuck and his family are grateful for the care at Hartford Hospital and the sincerely caring staff at the Hospital for Special Care.
A private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford has care of the arrangements. Visit an online guestbook at montano-shea.com.
