In loving memory of Cameron Russell Young, who took his final breath on July 29th 2024 at the age of 35, in his home surrounded by loved ones.
Cameron was born on May 8th 1989. He was the first child born to Robert Young and Trisha Carroll. Cameron spent his childhood outside causing trouble with his siblings. If it had a motor, Cam was sure to ride it. He graduated high school in 2008 and followed in his father, Rob’s footsteps by enlisting in the Navy as a Seabee. He spent 8 years in the Navy Reserves before being honorably discharged.
In 2011, he became the proud father of his first daughter, Addison. Cam and Addi loved modifying nerf guns together. “He was a goofball and the best dad ever.”
In 2016, his second daughter, Breya, was born. Cam and Breya loved to work on home improvement projects together. “If someone was sad, he would make them happy.”
Cam was a courageous, fun-loving man with a gift for spontaneity. Only a brave man can grow mutton chops, streak through the desert to amuse his siblings, or show up to a party dressed in an American flag themed singlet and not much else.
Cam loved a wide variety of music, especially Iron Maiden. He was an avid game player. There wasn’t a topic he didn’t know something about. It is rumored he was responsible for keeping all the sour candy companies in business.
Cam’s memory and love will live on through his two amazing daughters, Addison and Breya Young. Through his proud parents and their partners Trisha Carroll, Kelly Carroll, Robert Young and Shauna Mahanay. Through his many siblings, Casey Carroll, Tyler and Desiree Young, Erin Young-Carroll Smith, Michael D’Elia, and Kali Carroll. Through his grandparents Bob Morris, Gena and Steve Young. Through his 3 nieces, Kimberly, Celena, Myla and 2 nephews Colton, Skylar.
Cam was predeceased by his brother Jacob Carroll, stepmother Lisa D’Elia, grandfather Roy Benoit and grandmother Sylvia Doty.
The celebration of life will be held on August 17th between 1 and 5pm at the Pahrump Nugget Banquet Hall.
In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Cameron’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to his daughters.
