Calvin Harrington, 73, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, with family by his side.
One of the biggest highlights of Calvin‘s life was being in the Navy as a Seabee. After his brother Elton had passed away, who was in the Navy, he knew that this was a road that he needed to go down. Calvin and one of his good friends Danny Paschall enlisted at the same time in July of 1972 and were discharged in 1975. Charlie company did framing, roofing, brick-laying, and foundation
work. He worked as a welder and enjoyed woodworking. He worked for Paschall Electric Heating and Air doing electrical work until he retired in 2014.
He was preceded in death by his mother Josie Anderson, father Merrick Herrington, sister Regina Paschall, brother Elton Herrington, sister Deloris Balthrop, stepfather Neil Anderson, stepbrother Charles Dean Anderson, nephew Timothy Paschall, great-nephew Miles Balthrop, best friend Jack, and many others whom he loved.
Survivors are David Paschall, and his wife Davona, Melinda Paschall Gintzer and husband Ronald Kenley, Ann Godwin, Alan Balthrop and his wife Sylvia, Cheryl Wright and her husband Kevin, and all of their children.
Calvin was never married and never had children, but was surrounded by many family members who loved him very much.
A Committal Service will be held at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211 at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
