Final Salute

Brian E. Robinson, 78, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Feb 11, 2025. He died
from problems related to an aggressive form of Lewy Body dementia and Alzheimer’s. He was
born April 10, 1946 at the Naval Base in Coronado, California, to Capt. Thomas A. Robinson and
Judith Oswald (Olmsted). His father was a career Navy pilot and Brian lived in NM, VA, Rota
Spain, and Washington State. He traveled extensively during his youth. His father retired and
bought property in Cub River Idaho. Brian helped his father survey, plat, and put in water and
roads during his summers. He joined the navy, hoping to become a pilot but was unable to
pursue his dream due to an undetected lazy eye during his childhood. He served in the Navy
with the Seabee’s, for a year and then separated from the Navy with an honorable discharge.
He attended Washington State University and Graduated from BYU in architecture and
advertising. He moved to southern Ca. after his graduation. While he was there, he met his
wife, Beth Ann Pierce. They dated for a couple of years and were engaged in December of 1974.
Beth Ann and he were married January 23, 1976, in the Salt Lake Temple. They built a home in
Cub River, and lived there for 13 years. They had three sons, Russell, Jeffrey and Aaron. Brian
worked as a contractor and ran seasonal field grain cutting services in Southeastern Idaho, until
they moved to Salt Lake City in 1989. He worked as a plumber installing water softeners and
RO’s and later moved to Eagle Mountain, UT. in 2005.
Brian was always helping friends and ward members with free plumbing. They moved to live
with their son Russell, in South Weber when he started having problems walking in June of
2024. Brian was an ambitious hard-working father. He was an excellent water skier and loved to
ride snowmobiles and motorcycles. He loved Volkswagens. He was extremely knowledgeable
about aircraft and airplanes and could identify and tell you all of the details about every
military, commercial and private aircraft. He was proud of his sons, and their accomplishments.
He loved to visit with them and their families, and enjoyed having them come to visit him.
He was as honest as the day is long, humble, and generous. He was a good neighbor, and a good
friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Ann, Sons, Russell (Melanie) and Jeffrey, (Lillian) and 6
grandchildren he loved dearly. Also survived by his brother, Thomas (Miami) and his sisters,
Adair (Chick) (Idaho Falls), and Michelle (Cub River). He was preceded in death by his parents
and his son, Aaron Brice Robinson who passed away in 2010 at the age of 24. His funeral will be
March 1, 2025 at the Stonebridge Ward, North Stake, 4338 Iverness Lane, Eagle Mountain, UT
84005. The viewing will be from 9:45 am- 10:45 am. The service will be from 11:00 am to 12:00
pm. He will be buried at Elysian Burial Gardens at 1075 E. 4580 S. Millcreek, UT. The graveside
service is at 2 pm.
We wish to thank his care team from Symbii, They made his world brighter and brought
laughter with them when they came. We are also thankful for family and grandchildren who
made our lives wonderful, his siblings and nieces and nephew who traveled from Idaho, Florida
and Washington State to visit. A special thanks to our bishops and ward members who helped
us so much during these difficult times. And our many friends and family who have given us
help and support throughout our lives.
