Mr. Bobby Dee Bryant

Bobby Dee Bryant, 79 years old, from Maramec, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bobby was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on May 7, 1946, to Wanda and Loren Bryant (both deceased). He had two siblings, Jerry Bryant (Sue) and Hazel Trask (deceased). He spent his childhood and teen years in Buckeye, Arizona where he helped his father on the family farm.

Bobby led a full and eventful life. He graduated from high school in Buckeye, Arizona in 1964, where he met the love of his life, Linda. They were married for 61 years. Bobby spent four years in the Navy Seabees with two tours in Vietnam.

Bobby worked for the telephone company in Arizona and Colorado and oversaw the telecommunications in various events such as the Super Bowl in Tempe, Arizona and the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah as a behind the scenes expert.

Bobby and Linda owned the Ranch House Motel and Apartments in Buckeye, Arizona and during that time period he also wanted to be of service to his community, and he held a position as a councilman, a vice mayor, and ultimately mayor. He was active and very passionate about what he considered to be his hometown. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in 1990 and his master’s degree in 1994.

Bobby retired to Maramec, Oklahoma in 2008. He then took an active role in the American Legion, beginning with the local membership in Post 108 in Cushing, OK. During his membership he became a Nationally Certified Service Officer whereby he was able to assist hundreds of veterans with obtaining the benefits they were entitled to. He went on to become the State of Oklahoma Department Commander and eventually became a National Vice Commander where he oversaw the southern region of the US and visited all of those posts as an honored guest. At the time of his death, he was serving as the First Vice Commander of the American Legion Post 129 in Stillwater, OK.

Bobby was a true family man and dedicated his life to his wife and children. He loved to fish and to hunt and he had an especially passionate love for music. He attended and was a member of the Drumright Freewill Baptist Church where he drew closer to the Lord.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Linda, of 61 years, children, Diedra Bryant, John Bryant (Lisa), and Destiny Bryant-Jackson (Gary), 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, and brothers, Jerry Bryant (Sue) and Mark Pixley (Greta).

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday, June 2, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in the Drumright Freewill Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
