Beverly Carmack, age 73, of Rogersville, TN, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at home on his mountain.
Beverly was born in Monroe, Michigan, to Bobbie and Juanita (Lambert) Carmack on December 24, 1949. He married Pamela (Koppinger) in Rockwood, Michigan, on May 13, 1972. Together they had two children. He adored his four grandchildren. He graduated from Monroe High School in Monroe, Michigan, in 1968. He served two tours in Vietnam as a Seabee in the Navy. After returning home from military service, he trained as a diesel mechanic in Monroe, Michigan. He relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he worked as a mechanic for 14 years at North American Van Lines and then for 22 years at UPS before retiring in 2013. After retirement, Bev and Pam made Rogersville their home. He loved being on Clinch Mountain with all his animals. He enjoyed fishing, Nascar races, college football, hockey, beekeeping, and raising chickens, ducks, and guineas. Bev loved his dog Bailey and cats Gypsy and Boots. He was a Christian and involved with the Knights of Columbus (4th-Degree Knight) and St. Henry Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post 21 and a life member of VFW Post 1138. He volunteered for several charitable organizations that support our military.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie and Juanita Carmack, his brother Bobbie Carmack, and his sister Jennifer Dansard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Carmack, daughter Kristine (Reverend Derrick) Brown of Vernal, UT, son Alexander (Jennifer) Carmack of Bartow, GA, brother Pastor Billy Ray (Judy) Carmack of Rogersville, Jeffery Carmack of Monroe, Michigan, grandchildren Jonathan and Aaron Carmack, Katherine Brown, and Annabelle Carmack.
