Mr. Allan F. Gile Sr.

Allan F. Gile, Sr. of Brick, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the age of 88. Mr. Gile retired in 1996 as a mechanic / equipment operator at JCP & L / First Energy in Lakewood after 31 years of dedicated service. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a member of the US Navy SeaBees. Allan was a member of the Point Pleasant Elks #316 and the American Legion post #348. He also was a motorcycle enthusiast and a former member of the Gold Wing Riders of Ocean County.

Born and raised in Plainfield, he moved to Bricktown in 1962 with his wife of 23 years Abigail Siems.

Allan was predeceased by his son Martin Gile; sister Arlene Veen; daughter-in-law Cheryl Gile; and by his parents Fred and Emma Gile.

Surviving are his sons Allan F. Gile, Jr. of Toms River, Mark Gile and his wife Christina of Manahawkin; and daughter Theresa Rooney and her husband Chris of Lanoka Harbor; brothers Wayne Gile of Masontown, WV and Glenn Gile and his wife Debra of Lake Hopatcong; 9 grandchildren Jessica, Nicole, Alexander, Hannah, Crystal and her husband Steve, Donald, Jarod and his wife Beth, Connor and his wife Claudia, and Hailey; and 3 great grandchildren Zander, Zach and Madison and his Companion Eleanor Boyko & her family. And also several loving nieces and nephews .

Viewing will be on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer and family reflections will be conducted 11am on Saturday, October 25, 2025 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, 1100 West Chicago Blvd, Wall.
