A Celebration of Morris A. Fraley, Jr.’s Life, age 78 of Brenham, Texas, will be 2:00pm, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Truett Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until time of service at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
Morris died on September 18, 2021 in Brenham, Texas. A native of Wharton, Texas and longtime resident of Brenham, Texas, Morris was married to Sarah Meshell Fraley. He served in the United States Navy and did two tours in Vietnam where he rebuilt many bridges that had been destroyed. He graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in Civil Engineering and spent many years working on the Alaskan Pipeline. He loved fishing for salmon and snow skiing in Alaska. He enjoyed gardening and tending to his cows in Brenham. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brenham. He will be missed for the twinkle in his eye and his sense of humor, as well as many other things!
Morris is survived by his wife, Sarah Fraley; sisters, Mary Louise Fraley and Jane Lange Fraley; seven nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Albert Fraley, Sr. and Dorothy Belle Armstrong Fraley.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
