Final Salute

PENNINGTON, Ferrell “JR”. August 31, 2025. Age 78. Beloved and devoted husband of Nancy Primeau.
JR was a dedicated shop owner of JR’s Collision in Utica for 30 years, where his talent and passion for working on vehicles made him well respected in his community. Although he was never employed as a truck driver, his pride and joy was a 1986 Kenworth semi-truck tractor that he bought and rebuilt and only drove “goin’ to breakfast.” He enjoyed trapshooting and was a longtime member of the Richmond Sportsman’s Club. Later in life, he found great joy in golfing – a pastime that not only brought him happiness but also led him to meeting his beloved wife. Above all, he was a proud U.S. Navy Seabee, honorably serving his country with two tours in Vietnam.
A celebration of JR’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family and will be used toward a lasting memorial in his honor. Please share memories with the family at their online guestbook at WujekCalcaterra.com
