Final Salute

Alfred W. Fellows, EQCM, USN, Retired, age 85, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Alfred was born on November 10, 1936 in Peekskill, NY to Charles R. and Eva L. Fellows. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Fleet Reserve Association, American Legion, Forty and Eight Voiture 251, Retired Seabees Association, Krewe of Gemini, The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan K. Fellows; son, Bruce Merrill; daughter, Debra Acosta; son-in-law, Roger Salois; granddaughter, Gina Agustin; and grandson, Christopher Kennedy.

Survivors include his daughters, Holly C. Salois and Megan Merrill Kennedy; sons, H. Wayne (Ming) Merrill and Paul E. (Liza) Merrill; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

A funeral procession will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport. Friends may visit two-hours prior. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Fellows family.
