Final Salute

A celebration of life for Jerry Wayne Phillips, 76, will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with Deacon John Burns officiating. Inurnment with military honors will follow at the Seaman First Class Billy Turner Ardmore Veterans Cemetery.

A time of visitation and support for the family will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The son of late Lee and Lillie Bernice McGaughy Phillips, Jerry was born September 11, 1947 in Wilson, Oklahoma and went to his Heavenly home on March 28, 2024 at his residence.

He and the former Connie Jo Verhoeven were married November 19, 1980 in Ardmore.

A proud member of the Armed Services, Jerry served two tours in Vietnam with the US Army, and one tour with the US Navy. He was a member of the 1245th Army National Guard, and served during Desert Storm. He was an over the road truck driver and worked as a mechanic.

He is survived by his wife Connie of the home, sons, Jerold Phillips and wife Cleta; Lee Wayne Phillips and partner Jorge Soto; his sister Sharon Patton; grandchildren Jeromy and Courtney Phillips and numerous nieces and nephews.
